WARNING: This is all about the bathroom. You've been warned!!
I've tried the potty training thing. After a few hours the screaming was so awful I stopped. So imagine my surprise when the other day I said to C1 (2 years, 9 months old) "I'll be right back, I'm going potty" he fired back "I want to go potty too!" So in we went to the bathroom, where C1 sat on the potty and, of course, was having some troubles....
Me: Ok, time to go potty. Put the peepee right in the potty right there.
C1: Peepee, come out! PeePee, where are you? PeePee, go right here!
Me: No, sweetie, you have to make it come out. It's your job to put the peepee in the toilet.
C1: Peepee, where are you? Peepee, it's your turn! Come out, Come out! Peepee, where are you?
I was trying so hard not to laugh. The next day I was recounting the story to my mom on the phone while driving home from the library. In the background C1 pipes up "But the peepee wouldn't come out!"
During the same trip in the car, it looked like C1 had fallen asleep. A few minutes later, he was awake. I said "Were you sleeping?" to which he replied "I was, but now I'm awake."
Sounds waaaay too grown up and knowledgeable for my little man. :(
